Roofing Maintenance Operative

Job description

  • Collaborate in teams to perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks.

  • Safely execute daily work at heights.

  • Maintain and repair commercial, traditional, and industrial roofing.

  • Conduct guttering repairs and replacements.

  • Exhibit flexibility with working hours, including early starts, late finishes, weekends, and travel as required.

  • Participate in on-call duties on a rota basis.

  • Continuously learn new skills and maintain excellent communication and customer service.

  • Demonstrate pride in workmanship and accountability.

  • Utilise portable devices for dynamic risk assessments and prepare reports on completed work.

Preferred qualifications

  • IPAF certification (1b, 3a, eb)

  • CSCS labourer or skilled worker card

  • PASMA certification

  • Valid driving licence

  • First aid certification

  • NVQ in Slating & Tiling

  • Experience in reactive building maintenance, including leak identification and rectification (pitched roofing, guttering, slating, concrete tiling, GRP flat roofing)
